Safety Guidelines and Standardized Production Procedures for Brickmaking Machinery


Safety is paramount in brickmaking plants. Standardized procedures not only protect employees but also form the foundation for ensuring production efficiency and stable quality. The following key points must be kept in mind by every manager and operator.


Four Safety Red Lines for Operation

Keep hands away from moving parts while the machine is running.

Whether it's the mold or the conveyor belt, absolutely no contact with any moving parts is allowed while the equipment is running. Cleaning molds or clearing blockages requires first turning off the power and, if necessary, locking out the power source. Forcing manual intervention can easily cause permanent injury.


Wear necessary protective equipment at all times.

Safety helmets, dust masks, and non-slip safety shoes must be worn during operation. Female employees should tie their long hair up inside their hats. This basic protection can play a crucial role in critical situations.


Ensure proper fixing and support.

When using forklifts or tools to move heavy objects such as molds, ensure they are securely and stably positioned. Removed molds should be placed flat in a safe area to prevent tipping. When installing molds, confirm that all bolts are tightened.


Be familiar with emergency stops and contingency plans.

Before starting the machine, clearly understand the location and function of each emergency stop button. Develop clear contingency plans, knowing how to safely shut down the machine and report the situation immediately in case of mechanical jamming, unusual noises, oil leaks, etc.


Standardized Production Procedures

Step 1: Comprehensive Inspection Before Starting

Check that all bolts are tightened, the belt tension is appropriate, and lubrication points have been oiled. Confirm that the mold is installed correctly and securely, and remove any debris from the workbench and conveyor belt.


Step 2: Start-up and Debugging According to Procedures

Strictly follow the operating manual sequence for starting the machine: first, start it without load, observing whether the equipment runs smoothly and without unusual noises. Once the equipment is functioning normally, conduct a small trial production run, check the brick quality, and adjust parameters to an acceptable state.


Step 3: Standardized Operation During Running

Add raw materials evenly, avoiding excessive amounts or the mixing of foreign objects. Strictly produce according to the equipment's rated capacity; overloading is strictly prohibited. Regularly check the quality of the bricks and record key data.


Step 4: Standardized Shutdown and Cleaning

Shut down the machine gradually in sequence, and clean it only after the equipment has completely stopped. Cleaning must be done using specialized tools; manual cleaning is strictly prohibited. Important parts such as molds should be maintained and stored according to regulations. Step 5: Handover and Documentation

Record in detail the operating status of the equipment, production output, and any abnormal situations during the shift. Hand over the information to the next shift personnel in person, specifically highlighting any important points regarding the equipment.


Standardization is not a restriction, but a guarantee. Every standardized operation extends the lifespan of the equipment, and every safety procedure protects lives. By adhering to the procedures, stable production efficiency and quality will naturally follow.
