Maintaining Stable Operation of Brick Making Machines: Recommendations for Daily Inspection and Basic Maintenance


The key to maintaining the long-term stable operation of a brick making machine lies in developing a regular daily inspection habit. Before starting the machine each day, spend a few minutes inspecting the equipment. Check for loose screws on all parts of the machine, especially at critical connections in the molds, vibrating table, and transmission structure. Also, check if the hydraulic oil level in the tank is sufficient, for leaks or seepage in oil pipes and joints, and for damaged wiring. Simple visual and tactile inspections can detect many small problems early, preventing them from developing into major malfunctions.


Daily operation and cleaning are equally important. Operate the machine at its normal pace, avoiding forced overloading, as this will accelerate component wear. After each shutdown, promptly clean any residual material from the molds and press heads, keeping them clean and smooth. This ensures accurate brick dimensions and neat edges for the next batch. If the machine uses lubrication points, add the specified type of lubricating oil or grease on time and in the correct amount to ensure smooth operation of bearings and other moving parts.


A more thorough maintenance can be performed weekly or every two weeks. Systematically tighten all bolts and inspect vulnerable parts such as mold liners and belts for wear. Observe the vibration motor to ensure it operates smoothly without abnormal noise. If wear or performance degradation is found in any parts, replace them promptly. Establishing the cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and simple adjustments of the equipment as a daily procedure can significantly reduce the risk of unexpected downtime and ensure more reliable production.
