Brick Making Machinery Safety Operation: Essential Precautions for Beginners

Safety is always the top priority when operating brick making machinery. For beginners, developing good safety habits and standardized operating awareness is crucial. This not only protects yourself but is also the foundation for ensuring the long-term stable operation of the equipment.

I. Pre-start Inspections and Preparations:

Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear a safety helmet, safety glasses, a dust mask, sturdy work gloves, and non-slip safety shoes. Wear tight-fitting clothing to prevent clothing or hair from getting caught in moving parts.

Equipment Inspection: Check that all machine parts are securely connected, especially the fasteners of the molds, vibration table, and hydraulic system. Check that the lubricating oil is sufficient. Confirm that all safety guards and emergency stop buttons are intact and effective.

Cleanup and Preparation: Remove debris and oil stains from the machine and surrounding ground, ensuring the work area is clean and passageways are unobstructed. Place tools and raw materials in designated locations.

II. Operating Procedures to Strictly Adhere to During Operation:

Focus on Operation: When the machine is running, your attention must be focused. Distractions, chatting, or engaging in other unrelated activities are strictly prohibited. Constantly monitor equipment operating status and instrument readings.

**Physical contact strictly prohibited:** Under no circumstances should any part of your body be placed under the mold, press head, or between moving parts of the machine. When cleaning, adjusting, or handling jammed materials, the machine must be stopped first, and the main power supply disconnected. Wait until the moving parts have completely stopped before proceeding.

**Use tools correctly:** Use specialized tools (such as shovels or hooks) when adding materials, removing bricks, or cleaning. Do not use your hands directly.

**Be alert for abnormalities:** If any abnormal noises, vibrations, smoke, oil leaks, or malfunctions are detected, immediately press the emergency stop button, turn off the power, and report to management for inspection.

III. Standard closing procedures after shutdown:

**Sequential shutdown:** After production is completed, stop the machine first according to the procedure, then disconnect the main power supply.

**Thorough cleaning:** After the equipment has completely stopped, clean any remaining material inside the mold and on the machine, and clean the work area.

**Record keeping:** At shift handover or after the end of the shift, briefly record the equipment operating status and any problems found.

Newcomers, remember: there are no shortcuts to safety, and no room for complacency in operation. Every proper operation is a matter of taking responsibility for your life. Before you are fully familiar with the equipment's performance and operating procedures, you should work under the guidance of an experienced technician. Protecting yourself is a prerequisite for producing high-quality bricks.
