Basic Methods for Maintaining Brick Making Equipment

The key to keeping brick making equipment running smoothly lies in establishing a consistent habit of "daily inspection and periodic maintenance." Before each startup, a simple inspection should be performed, such as checking for loose screws, ensuring the hydraulic oil level in the tank is sufficient, cleaning any residual material from the molds and press heads, and ensuring there are no obstructions around moving parts such as the conveyor belt. After starting, let the machine idle for a short while, listening to whether the operation is smooth and observing for any abnormal vibrations. These daily observations can help you identify potential problems promptly.

During daily operation, correct operation and timely cleaning are themselves important maintenance. Use the equipment reasonably according to its capacity, avoiding prolonged overload operation. After each shutdown, clean the dust and mud from the machine surface, especially the hoppers, mixing devices, and the inside of the molds, to prevent material from hardening and caking. For bearings, chains, and other parts requiring lubrication, strictly follow the instructions and regularly add appropriate lubricating oil or grease.

In addition, a periodic deep maintenance plan needs to be developed and implemented. For example, every one or two months, or after achieving a certain production volume, a more comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the equipment should be carried out: inspect and replace worn and vulnerable parts (such as mold liners, seals, and belts); check the electrical wiring for integrity; and replace or filter the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic system. When the equipment is not in use for an extended period, it should be thoroughly cleaned, rust-preventive oil applied to critical moving parts, and stored in a dry and well-ventilated place. Combining routine maintenance with regular upkeep can effectively reduce malfunctions and significantly extend the service life of the equipment.
