Brick Making Machine Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Precautions
To ensure safe, efficient, and consistent quality brick production, operators must strictly adhere to standardized operating procedures and always remember safety guidelines. The following outlines the core points integrating both.
I. Standard Operating Procedures (Three Steps)
This is a clear, repeatable work cycle designed to ensure consistent quality for every brick.
Pre-production Preparation:
Equipment Inspection: Before starting, check that all bolts on the equipment are tightened, lubrication is adequate, and the mold is securely installed and clean. Ensure safety guards are intact.
Material Preparation: According to the formula, mix cement, aggregates, and other raw materials in the correct proportions and mix thoroughly, controlling the moisture content to achieve a "clump when squeezed, but crumbles when dropped" consistency.
Empty Run Test: Start the equipment and perform 1-2 empty cycles to confirm that the press head, conveyor, and other components are functioning correctly.
Production Operation:
Filling: Fill the mold evenly with the appropriate amount of mixed material, avoiding overfilling or underfilling.
Starting the Forming Process: Press the work button, and the equipment will automatically complete the pressing (or vibration) process. Operators should maintain a safe distance from the equipment and observe its operation.
Demolding and Brick Removal: After forming, the brick is ejected onto a pallet. The operator should smoothly remove the pallet and check the brick's appearance for completeness and regularity.
End of Production:
Shutdown: After completing the day's production, allow the equipment to complete its final cycle, then completely shut off the power.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Thoroughly clean residual materials from the mold, press head, and workbench. This is a necessary step to ensure the quality of production and equipment accuracy the following day. Perform a simple inspection of the equipment.
II. Safety Precautions (Must-Follow "Red Lines")
Safety is the prerequisite for all operations; no step should violate these rules.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory: Operators must wear safety helmets, safety glasses, dust masks, sturdy gloves, and safety shoes. Long hair must be tied up and tucked into the helmet; loose clothing is strictly prohibited.
Never touch dangerous areas during operation: Under any operating conditions (press head movement, vibrating table operation), absolutely prohibit placing hands, tools, or any objects into the mold, press head, or transmission component areas. All adjustments, cleaning, and repairs must be performed only after the equipment has been completely stopped and the main power supply has been disconnected.
Operating the equipment with malfunctions or under overload conditions is prohibited: If any abnormalities are detected (unusual noises, excessive vibration, oil leaks, etc.), the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection. Production must not exceed the equipment's rated pressure or filling capacity in order to increase output.
Maintain concentration: Fatigue, working under the influence of alcohol, or engaging in distracting conversations with others during operation are strictly prohibited.
Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures: Know the location of the emergency stop button and be able to react quickly in emergency situations.
Summary and Key Principles:
Operating Procedure: Check equipment and prepare materials before the shift, fill materials evenly and monitor molding process, and perform thorough cleaning after the shift.
Safety Guidelines: Complete protective measures are paramount, avoid entering hazardous areas during operation, perform maintenance only after power is disconnected, and stop the machine immediately if any abnormalities occur – do not force operation.
By internalizing standard procedures and safety regulations into muscle memory, you can not only protect yourself and your colleagues but also consistently produce high-quality products and ensure the long-term reliable operation of the equipment. Safety and adherence to procedures are the fundamental guarantees of efficiency.
